Project Based Learning

12-December-22
Project Based Learning

Last week, everyone got to meet and bond with their PBL (Project Based Learning) team through prepared activities and challenges. As each team is a mix of students from both years, it was an important opportunity to work out the strengths of each member of their group.

This year’s PBL will see students tackle the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 12 - Ensure sustainable consumption and production patters. PBL is an important teaching method that facilitates the development of research skills, group work, time management, digital literacy, presentation, communication skills and so much more.

After getting an integrated view of SDG12 from each subject this week, students will carry out their own extended enquiry next week, and design and implement an action project which aims to promote sustainable consumption of textiles or food. They will be engaged, creative and busy carrying out their meaningful work.

They will be active in the Gorey community next week, so be sure to chat to them and ask questions about their work. We are so proud of their knowledge and how they creative they are, and how capable they are of independent and critical thought!

The future is safe with these guys!
